Each year, San Diego Comic-Con brings out the best (and rarest) from Mattel’s Jurassic World line, and 2025 is no exception. With the just-released (and sold out in 20 minutes) Convention Crasher set starring the Buck T. rex crashing through the convention gates—literally—it’s the perfect time to look back at our Top 5 all-time favorite SDCC exclusives from Mattel’s Jurassic offerings. From long-requested characters to unforgettable display pieces, these releases have become true collector grails.
5. Final Scene Ray Arnold (2021)

“Hold on to your butts!” Mattel gave us one of the most unexpected and detailed figures in their SDCC lineup with Ray Arnold, complete with a removable arm, distressed lab coat, and—most impressively—a toy replica of the iconic circuit breaker panel. It’s the ultimate tribute to Samuel L. Jackson’s underappreciated character and one of the most memorable behind-the-scenes deaths in the original Jurassic Park.
4. Man Creatures Dinosaurs Steven Spielberg (2023)

The first-ever official Steven Spielberg action figure—and yes, he’s wearing that dinosaur-print shirt from the behind-the-scenes footage! Complete with a director’s chair, camera, and animatronic Dilophosaurus, this SDCC exclusive was a heartfelt nod to the man who brought Jurassic Park to life. It blurred the line between toy and tribute in the best way possible.
3. Lab Tour Dr. Henry Wu (2023)

One of the most fan-requested characters finally made his plastic debut at SDCC with this sharp-suited figure of Dr. Henry Wu, the genetic mastermind behind both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. Bonus points for including a Mr. DNA accessory, making this a perfect blend of legacy and lore.
2. John Hammond (2019)

The one that started it all. Mattel’s very first SDCC exclusive was none other than John Hammond, complete with cane, hat, and a hatching baby Velociraptor. Not only was this the first-ever action figure of the park’s eccentric creator, but it also kicked off what would become a beloved tradition of Comic-Con exclusives.
1. Outhouse Chaos Playset (2022)

It sold out in minutes, and for good reason. The Outhouse Chaos Playset featured the only official action figure of Donald Gennaro, complete with briefcase, terrified expression—and yes, the infamous toilet. Paired with a classic T. rex sculpt and a cardboard outhouse, this set was pure fan service in all the best ways. It’s campy, it’s iconic, and it remains the crown jewel of many collections.
